The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine internship
and residency programs have undertaken steady growth in both quantity and
quality over the last decade or so. The Animal Health Center currently
has approximately 9 interns and 16 residents enrolled as house officers
within various clinical and paraclinical programs. Many of our interns
have successfully moved on to highly competitive specialty residency
training programs. Residents trained at MSU have moved on to become
respected specialists in academia, in specialty referral practice, and in
industry.
Many of our internship and residency programs are filled through the
American Association of Veterinary Clinicians Veterinary Internship and
Residency Matching Program. Currently listed positions can be found on
the Match program web-site at virmp.org.
Current VIRMP listed positions include:
Equine Medicine/Surgery Internship
Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery
Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine
MSU-CVM has one of the best recent track records in the nation for
matching its graduates into internships and residencies.
