A strong foundation
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine provides students with a strong, multi-species foundation and allows opportunity to focus on species or discipline interests. MSU CVM is one of only several US colleges of veterinary medicine that—like most colleges of human medicine— requires two full years of mentored clinical education.

Our graduates are highly sought after and are offered opportunities to work all over the world in a variety of different capacities!

Graduate and Bachelor's
Research & Veterinary Technology Degrees

The MSU College of Veterinary Medicine offers a number of research degree programs as well as being one of 22 schools nationwide to offer a bachelor's in veterinary medical technology.

Our programs prepare students to work in a variety of environments. Students participating in research programs are able to be involved with ongoing faculty research projects.

Opportunities Outside the Classroom

Internships and residency programs are available among six locations across Mississippi.

The College currently has approximately one dozen interns and two dozen residents enrolled as house officers within various clinical and paraclinical programs.
