Publication Page Charge Guidelines
The publication of articles relating to the many aspects of veterinary medicine is an activity supported strongly by the College. This is an activity that requires college resources, including faculty and staff time, secretarial time, and college materials, in general. Faculty and staff are encouraged to write academic and scientific articles, but must always consider the quality of such products since the reputation of the College and its faculty and staff depends to a large measure on this form of communication.
The College will only provide financial support to totally or partially offset the page charges for a publication when the following criteria are met.
- The manuscript must be processed through the internal official manuscript review process as managed through the CVM ORGS.
- The author(s) have no grant or restricted (F&A or residual) funds available for paying publication costs.
The CVM ORGS will provide up to $750 per manuscript for publication costs. Cost for submission, which is required by some journals, is included in the $750 allocated to publication cost.
