We are glad that you chose to visit the MSU-CVM technician/technologist page. We understand that as a veterinary technician or technologist, you are an integral part of the veterinary health care team. Your contribution is critical whether you are in private practice, academia, research, regulatory medicine, public health, zoo medicine, humane society work or another veterinary related position. Veterinary technicians and technologists are instrumental in the following areas: dentistry, anesthesia, clinical pathology, delivery of patient care, radiology, client communication and many other day to day duties and responsibilities dictated by the needs of the individualized patient.
MSU-CVM began a Bachelor of Science
in Veterinary Medical Technology in 2010. We are excited to offer this group of aspiring technologists an excellent education including lecture and clinical rotations in various services within the College of Veterinary Medicine. The program also offers exposure to emergency care, referral hospitals, and research facilities. A main focus of our technology program is to train the technology students alongside the veterinary students for a more integrated relationship in the future.
