We have a great partnership with those in the veterinary profession. In one aspect we work with veterinarians in private practice to become an extension of their services. By working with us through our referral services, private practitioners can meet all of the needs of their clients. The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine provides world-class specialty services and then communicates with their client’s local veterinarian so they can provide excellent follow-up care. Referrals not only assist the veterinarian and client in making sure they have the specific care needed, but referrals also provide a great learning experience for our students. The referrals made by veterinarians allow our students to learn the various specialty areas under the direction of nationally renowned clinicians.
The communication and support we receive from veterinarians is invaluable to the college. It is truly a two-way partnership.
