MSU CVM Hosts Annual Open House

Starkville, MS– The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine will host its 37th annual Open House event on Saturday, April 6th from 9am until 4pm.  This year’s theme is “The Wild West of VetMed.” The event is free and open to the public.

The Annual Open House event offers an opportunity for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students to showcase the world of veterinary medicine in an interactive and educational way in hopes to inspire the next generation of veterinarians. Guests will be able to learn about topics ranging from parasitology and pathology to bovine and exotic animal medicine and how veterinarians at MSU CVM are actively working to eradicate world hunger. Other exhibits will include canine health and medicine, working dogs, feline health and medicine, a petting zoo, and Dress Like a Surgeon.

The event is family friendly, and guests of all ages are welcome to attend and participate. There will be food trucks on site at the event for breakfast, lunch, and snack options for all, as well.  
                                                     

            The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine is the state’s only veterinary college. It is one of only a few colleges that provides two full years of clinical experience in addition to coursework and labs. The college boasts a greater than 98% NAVLE pass rate.
